...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EST THIS
EVENING FOR LOWNDES COUNTY...

At 706 PM EST, emergency management reported heavy rain across the
warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring along Ashley Street
in downtown Valdosta.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Valdosta, Lake Park, I-75 At Exit 16, Remerton, Dasher, Valdosta
  Regional Airport, I-75 At Exit 11, Twin Lakes, Kinderlou, I-75 At
  Exit 5, Clyattville, I-75 At Exit 22 and Naylor.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
