...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Georgia, including
  the following counties, in south central Georgia, Brooks,
  Colquitt, Lanier, Lowndes and Thomas. In southwest Georgia, Grady
  and Mitchell.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - A very moist environment is in place across the region. Late
    afternoon and early evening thunderstorms are expected to
    develop and produce locally heavy rainfall across the watch
    area. Rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches are expected with
    isolated heavier totals to near 7 inches. These amounts could
    cause flash flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
