...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON
TO 4 PM PST TUESDAY ELEVATIONS ABOVE 5500 FEET...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected for elevations above 5500 feet. Total
  snow accumulations of 1 to 4 feet and up to 5 feet along higher
  peaks. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.

* WHERE...West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada and Western Plumas
  County/Lassen Park Counties.

* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 4 PM PST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening and Monday
  morning commutes. Strong winds could cause extensive damage to
  trees and power lines.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels Friday afternoon around 6000-7000
  feet, lowering to around 4500-5500 feet over the weekend, before
  increasing to around 5000-6000 feet early next week. A brief break
  in snowfall expected from late Saturday afternoon into Sunday
  morning with lighter snow showers.
