...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT ABOVE 6500 FEET FROM 1 AM
THURSDAY TO 4 AM PST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Moderate snow expected above 6500 feet. Total snow
  accumulations of 3 to 8 inches above 6500 feet with 1 to 2 feet at
  the highest peaks south of US Highway 50. Southwest winds gusting
  as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada and Western Plumas
  County/Lassen Park above 6500 feet.

* WHEN...From 1 AM Thursday to 4 AM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions above 6500 feet. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening
  commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels initially above 8000 feet
  Wednesday evening through midday Thursday, then lowering to around
  5500-6500 feet Thursday afternoon through Friday.
