...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN TUOLUMNE AND
SOUTHEASTERN ALPINE COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM PDT...

At 516 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Ebbetts Pass, or 10 miles northeast of Lake
Alpine. These storms were nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Ebbetts Pass, Lookout Peak, and Hermit Valley Basin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
