.DISCUSSION...
Mostly clear overnight in the vicinity of the Highland Fire, with
generally light terrain driven winds from the north-northeast at
around 4 to 8 mph. Continued hot, dry, and mostly clear conditions
in the area on Tuesday with low daytime humidity values in the upper teens
to low 20s as high pressure dominates the weather pattern. Similar,
light terrain driven winds on Tuesday and Wednesday. A wave of energy
is forecast to move through the area later this week and will bring
a non-zero chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm by Wednesday night
through Friday. Confidence low on any development of thunderstorms,
but the best chances currently look to be in the Stanislaus National
Forest/areas south of HWY-50. Best timeframe for any shower/storm
development will be in the late afternoon and evening hours.
