Generally calm weather through this afternoon leads into more active weather tonight through Friday as a weather system impacts the region. Precipitation onset near the burn site is expected to between 8 and 10 pm tonight, becoming more widespread overnight. Given cold temperatures expected into Thursday morning, a mix of rain and snow showers will be possible. While snow accumulations are expected to remain light, some 15-20% chance of snowfall up to 1" is possible near the burn site. Otherwise, liquid precipitation totals of 2 to 3 inches are anticipated across northern Shasta County through the duration of this storm (Friday evening). Winds look to remain breezy and predominantly from a northerly direction, although as a front passes through around midday Thursday, a brief period of variable to south-southeast winds will be possible. .REST OF TODAY...
