.DISCUSSION...
A shift toward a prolonged period of more active weather is
expected through the end of the week, across the weekend, and into
next week as a series of atmospheric rivers impacts the region.
Isolated showers will begin to pop up in the morning, with more
widespread rainfall then expected later in the day on Friday and
into Saturday. As rainfall becomes more widespread, heaviest
rainfall near the burn area is expected late Friday evening
through Saturday. Snow levels through the end of the week and into
the weekend look to remain generally above 6000 feet at this
time. Current probabilities of rainfall exceeding 1 inch through
Saturday evening sit around 90 percent, with 30 to 40 percent
probabilities of exceeding 3 inches near the burn area during the
same timeframe. Southerly winds expected to become sustained and
breezy around 10 mph through the weekend as the system moves in.
