.DISCUSSION...
Main note in the forecast is that there is a 10 to 15% chance of
thunderstorms early on Sunday, though there is uncertainty on whether the
storms will get enough force behind them to develop into thunderstorms
or if they will simply result in some virga and light rainfall. Currently,
high resolution models show a line of light rain moving over the general
area of the fire around 4 to 6 am, rather than actual thunderstorms, but
the uncertain potential for lightning still remains. After Sunday morning,
potential for thunderstorms near the fire currently remains below 10% through
mid to late week. Otherwise, a push of monsoonal moisture will increase both
daytime and overnight humidity for much of the upcoming week. Daytime
minimums will hover within the 20s, with moderate recoveries the next couple
of nights transitioning to excellent recoveries for the remainder of the week.
High temperatures will remain in the low 90s and winds will generally be
light and terrain driven overnight with stronger southwest winds in the
afternoon (gusts up to 15 mph).
