...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM PDT MONDAY DUE TO GUSTY
WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR PORTIONS OF THE SACRAMENTO
VALLEY AND NORTHERN FOOTHILLS...
Winds gradually weaken and transition to north to east winds and
dry conditions today. North winds then strengthen through the
Valley tonight into Monday, with gusts from 25 to 35 mph at
times. These gusty winds combined with low humidities will yield
in critical fire weather conditions across the Sacramento Valley
and northern foothills. As a result, a Red Flag Warning remain in
effect through 5pm PDT Monday for portions of the Sacramento
Valley and northern foothills. Locations outside of the warned
area, such as along the Sierra crest, will see periodically
elevated fire weather conditions as well, but should remain below
critical conditions. Expect below-normal temperatures today,
followed by near-normal conditions the remainder of next week.
