LEAD TO ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS TODAY AND SATURDAY...
.DISCUSSION...
Seasonably warm and dry conditions are forecast to prevail
throughout the district over the coming days. Minor cooling
today into the weekend as a weak system arrives to the Pacific
Northwest. This will result in increased onshore flow and periods
of breezy conditions for the district. Wind gusts up to 30 mph
will develop in the Burney Basin this afternoon and again
Saturday, alongside daytime humidity values in the upper teens to
low 20s. Combined, this will lead to elevated fire weather
concerns for eastern Shasta County. Thunderstorm chances remain
less than 5% for interior NorCal through the weekend.
