...Elevated fire weather conditions in the Burney Basin today
due to gusty winds and low humidity...
.DISCUSSION...
Dry weather continues through next week. Near normal high
temperatures hold through early next week, warming again late
week. Humidity recovery will be poor across the Burney Basin,
southern Cascades and northeast foothills through this evening,
with minimum humidity levels in the teens and even single digits
in some locations. Breezy westerly winds return this afternoon
and evening in the Delta, mountains and into the Burney Basin. The
combined breezy downsloping winds and low humidity will bring
locally elevated fire weather conditions to the Burney Basin this
afternoon and evening. Onshore winds continue into early next
week, but with lower intensity and a little higher humidity.
