.DISCUSSION...
Hot temperatures and light winds are forecast this weekend, except
with locally breezy conditions in the Delta vicinity. Temperatures cool
slightly next week but still remain very warm, with increased onshore flow.
Dry conditions are also expected to continue, except for a 10-20% chance of
isolated to scattered thunderstorms each afternoon and evening over the
mountains from Monday through Friday. Primary fire weather concern is lightning
on dry fuels on Monday in the northern Coastal Range, Shasta County mountains
and Burney Basin.
