Mostly clear skies across interior NorCal this afternoon, though a few cumulus can be seen popping up along the Coast Range and the Sierra crest. Elevated fire weather conditions continue today (primarily along and west of I-5) due to a combination of breezy winds and low humidities, especially in down canyon areas of the Coast Range where strongest gusts are expected. There remains a small chance for thunderstorms in the Sierra today, though chances are limited to areas south of HWY 50 and are 10% or less. Widespread triple digit high temperatures are expected again today, with Moderate HeatRisk covering the majority of the Valley, Delta, and foothills. Tomorrow and Friday, as onshore flow improves, most of the Valley will see a cooling trend (most pronounced cooling will be in the vicinity of the Delta). As we head into the weekend, diminished chances remain for a new push of monsoonal moisture, though areas impacted appear much more limited to the Sierra crest and further east than previous days. There is still some uncertainty on where exactly the ridging to the east and the troughing to the west will settle themselves, impacting final chances on the push of moisture and any thunderstorm probabilities through early next week; however we will continue to monitor conditions heading into the weekend so be sure to check in for updates. && .AVIATION... VFR conditions prevail through the TAF period. Onshore flow today through this evening for the Sacramento sites and MOD and SCK with gusts up to 20 kts at the Sacramento sites and up to 25 kts at SCK and MOD, as well as in the Delta through around 06z Thursday. && .STO WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES...
