.DISCUSSION...An active monsoon pattern will continue, especially
through the middle of the week. After a 10% chance of nocturnal
showers and thunderstorms Monday night into early Tuesday, Tuesday
look to once again become active. Depending on the evolution of
the nocturnal activity, anticipate widespread scattered showers
and thunderstorms to develop late morning on through the afternoon
hours, bringing potential for periods of heavy rain, lightning,
gusty erratic outflow winds, and small hail. Coverage is favored
to be highest from mid afternoon on into the evening, with better
chances of nocturnal activity lingering on into the night.
Wednesday will more or less see a similar evolution to Tuesday as
deep moisture remains placed over the area, and widespread
scattered showers and thunderstorms are once again expected.
Wetting rain chances will be highest through Wednesday, with
models favoring some slightly drier air returning Thursday onward.
That said, models do still keep sufficient moisture for
maintained precipitation chances, even with the slightly drier
airmass. Outside of influence from precipitation, winds will tend
to be fairly light and diurnally terrain driven, with down-terrain
more favored overnight, and up-terrain during the day.
