927 FNUS75 KSLC 151643 FWSSLC Spot Forecast for Spring Canyon...USFS National Weather Service Salt Lake City UT 1043 AM MDT Wed Oct 15 2025 Forecast is based on ignition time of 1100 MDT on October 15. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION...A cool and moisture rich Pacific system will impact the region through Thursday. Showers will continue to become more widespread through the afternoon, with a few embedded thunderstorms also possible. Shower chances then remain high overnight, and while a lull might develop briefly, elevated shower chances are noted throughout Thursday as the core of the low pressure shifts overhead. In general the forecast supports around 0.60" to 0.90" of water or so, and given the colder air associated with the system around 3" to 6" of snow by events end. High pressure starts to build back in Friday into the weekend, supporting a period of drier and more stable conditions along with a gradual warm up. Models then generally support (~80% chance) some system early next week. The breakdown appears to be around 50% supporting a moderate strength system, 30% a weaker more grazing type system, and 20% more of a continuation of drier/milder conditions. .REST OF TODAY...
