.DISCUSSION...Hot conditions expected today with high
temperatures nearing 100 degrees this afternoon. While chances
for thunderstorms to impact the event remain low this afternoon,
generally 10-15%, any storms that develop in the vicinity of the
event may produce lightning and gusty outflow winds to 40 mph.
Thunderstorm chances increase on Saturday as a push of monsoonal
moisture surges into northern Utah, leading to more scattered
coverage across the area. These storms will once again be capable
of producing lighting, gusty outflow winds to 40 mph, and brief
heavy rainfall. Lingering moisture on Saturday will keep slight
chances for isolated showers and thunderstorms in place.
