.DISCUSSION...Today, winds will be predominately out of the south-
southwest with elevated wind speeds continuing into the early
evening hours tonight. Wind gusts 15-20 mph will start the day,
increasing to around 25-30 mph beginning 1400-1500. Gusts may be
locally higher with increasing elevation. Around 1300-1400,
isolated dry thunderstorms may develop near Notch Peak with
chances for storms continuing through 1800. Gusty and erratic
winds with lightning are possible near and within these storms.

Tonight, winds are expected to see a decrease and become
predominately downslope. Chances for precipitation remain low near
the SAR operation for the remainder of the evening.
