.DISCUSSION...The incoming storm system will move into the area
this afternoon, then bring periods of rain and snow through
Wednesday. The leading edge of this this system will arrive this
afternoon, with snow developing mid to late afternoon and continuing
into the evening. Increasingly mild air will spread into the area
raising snow levels near or above the burn site late tonight through
Tuesday morning. By Tuesday afternoon precipitation at the site will
likely be rain as snow levels rise to near 9000 feet. Cooler air
will move back into the area Tuesday night into early Wednesday as
precipitation begins to wind down.

From late this afternoon through Wednesday rain/snow-water
equivalent in the 0.40-0.80 inch range is most likely. With the
warmer temperatures moving in and a change in precip type, although
snow accumulation in the 2 to 5 inch range looks likely at the site,
much of this will melt off or settle by Wednesday afternoon.

High pressure will become the dominant feature across the region
through early next weekend and likely beyond, with no additional
precipitation events on the horizon for at least the next 7-10 days.
