.DISCUSSION...Moisture combined with a weak grazing system will result
in isolated shower and thunderstorm chances, primarily during the
afternoon hours Friday and Saturday. Winds will tend to favor a
southwesterly direction, with deep southwesterly winds increasing
ahead of the next approaching system. This system is expected to
send a largely dry cold frontal boundary southward through Utah
Sunday into Monday. Slightly cooler temperatures will come behind
the front, with highs running about 5 degrees below normal. A
modestly unsettled pattern will then persist through much of the
upcoming week, with isolated shower and thunderstorm chances most
afternoons.
