.DISCUSSION...Midlevel moisture continues to increase into
northern Utah, though at the burn site, this will mainly just
result in periods of cloud cover. Precipitation chances remain low
through Saturday. That said, the best window for showers would be
late Thursday night through around noon Friday. Wetting rain will
be very unlikely. Winds are expected to remain generally light,
with terrain-driven flows during the nighttime hours while
daytime winds should be southwest on Friday and northwest on
Saturday. However, cannot rule out some erratic outflows from
nearby showers and thunderstorms. Confidence is low regarding
timing and strength where these outflows are concerned, but latest
models have a 10% chance or less of gusts greater than 30 mph
through at least Friday night. Otherwise, temperatures will remain
hot, with afternoon maxes in the upper 80s to low 90s, which is
around 3-5 degrees above normal for this time of year. Humidities
remain rather low, and only expected to increase slightly.
