943 FNUS75 KSLC 102024 FWSSLC Spot Forecast for San Pitch RX...Forestry, Fire & State Lands National Weather Service Salt Lake City UT 224 PM MDT Thu Apr 10 2025 Forecast is based on ignition time of 1000 MDT on April 12. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION...A fairly strong but dry cold front will approach the area and move through Saturday mid afternoon to evening. Ahead of the front, very mild temperatures will result in low minimum relative humidity values, and winds will pick up and become fairly gusty. Generally anticipate gusts in the 30-35 mph range, but some gusts as high as 40 mph or so will be possible, especially just prior to frontal passage. After the front passes, winds will begin to shift west and eventually northwesterly, remaining gusty for a period before finally relaxing somewhat overnight. Temperatures cool for Sunday, but with no precipitation expected, minimum relative humidity values remain low. Winds remain northwesterly with some gusts picking up during the day. Through the upcoming week, current forecast carries high pressure and dry conditions into the start of the work week, with potential for a fairly weak low to lift through by midweek or so. Less certainty noted towards the end of the work week, but pattern generally supports a return to ridging and dry conditions. Over the course of the next 14 days, above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation is favored. .SATURDAY... Sky/weather.........Partly cloudy (50-60 percent cloud cover).
