.DISCUSSION...Breezy southwest winds will remain in place through the remainder of
Friday afternoon and evening alongside dry conditions. Relative
humidity will struggle to recover on the lower slopes and above
while valley bottoms see much better humidity recovery above 50%.
During the overnight hours winds on ridges and higher exposure
slopes will continue to see southwest winds around 15-20 mph while
the mid slopes and below will see a transition to terrain driven
flows around an hour after sunset.

On Saturday, dry conditions will remain in place with just a
subtle increase in moisture. That said, humidity will remain
around 15% during the afternoon hours. Southwest winds will
prevail during the mid-to-late morning hours, transitioning to a
westerly flow during the afternoon hours. Strongest winds are
expected on south and west facing slopes and higher exposure
ridges during the afternoon hours where gusts up to around 20-25
mph are expected. Though moisture will be a bit higher than
Friday, elevated to near-critical conditions are still expected.
While no showers or thunderstorms are expected around the fire,
showers developing over northwest Utah may kick an outflow
boundary over the fire by the evening hours. If this occurs,
gusts of upwards of 30-40 mph will be possible, mainly from
the west to northwest direction.
