.DISCUSSION...A ridge of high pressure will approach the area today,
and pass overhead Saturday into Saturday night. This will bring
increasingly stable conditions along with associated increasingly
poor mixing/clearing into Saturday. Sunday, a weak weave of low
pressure will pass by to the north, improving clearing into the
fair to good category. Monday, an approaching Pacific storm system
will aid in increasing southwest flow, and continuing the improving
mixing/clearing situation. This system will pass through the area
Tuesday, with current indications suggesting the potential for
1 to 4 inches of snow. Most likely scenario brings ridging and
associated stable conditions back into the area Wednesday and
Thursday before the next Pacific storm system begins to approach
the area on Friday, bringing a modest improving in clearing. Snow
chances with this next system arrive as early as Friday, but
may hold off until next weekend.
