.DISCUSSION...Moisture associated with a monsoonal type
of surge will linger Friday. Some widely isolated showers will be
possible during the morning hours, with increasing coverage and
the development of some thunderstorms through the afternoon. While
this activity will remain isolated to scattered in nature, any
stronger thunderstorm over/near the event site will have potential
for lightning, brief periods of moderate to heavy rain, and
strong outflow wind gusts up to around 35-50 mph. As daytime
heating wanes late in the day, anticipate activity to trend
downward in both strength in coverage, generally after 9pm or so.
Outside of the influence of aforementioned thunderstorms, expect
initially light and somewhat variable winds in the morning to
favor a southwesterly direction with modest gusts throughout the
day, once again becoming light and fairly variable by late
evening.
