.DISCUSSION...Cold front is making its way into southern Utah this
morning. There is a 30 percent chance that the burn site will see
snow as it passes late morning into the early afternoon. Any
accumulations would be light at best. High pressure will briefly
move back over the area late this afternoon through Monday
morning. A stronger atmospheric river type system will impact the
burn late Monday through Wednesday, bringing periods of snow that
could eventually change to rain late Tuesday into Wednesday as
snow levels will be rising given the warmer nature of the system.
Current forecast shows the burn site receiving 4 to 8 inches of
snow late Monday through Wednesday. With high pressure moving in
behind the system, we will see clearing indices drop below 500 for
Thanksgiving Day with those lower values currently expected to
stick around through the weekend.
