.DISCUSSION...A system with limited moisture will continue to pass through
the area Sunday. While moisture is limited, the west to northwest
flow banking up the terrain will help trigger some isolated snow
showers. Little in the way of accumulating snow is expected, but
winds in the afternoon will become modestly gusty. Sunday night
into Monday the next system will begin to approach the area,
helping to maintain potential for periodic wind gusts and isolated
showers overnight. Late Monday morning to early Monday afternoon
a cold front associated with the system will push through. This
would be the most likely time to see a bit more coverage of
precipitation and potential for low end accumulating snow on the
order of 0.5-1.0", or around 0.05-0.10" of water equivalent. The
faster flow as the system pushes through will also help enhance
wind gusts Monday.
