...MONSOON MOISTURE CONTINUE WITH COOLING TEMPERATURES...
.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...Monsoon moisture will remain in place
for the remainder of the week with convection developing each
afternoon and lasting through the evening. These storms will be
capable of gusty outflow winds, frequent lightning, and heavy
rain. Temperatures will trend down through the week.
.DISCUSSION...The monsoon pattern remains in place for the remainder
of the week. This moisture will primarily be focused across the
southern 2/3rds of the area through midweek before a trough moving
in from the west helps to develop more convection across the north
Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will also decrease by 10-15 degrees
by the end of the week. Nocturnal convection will be possible through
the week, but details will likely remain uncertain on where and when
until the day of any nocturnal activity as these features are usually
based on how the convection evolves during the day.
This trough will bring slightly drier air to the region for this
weekend which will reduce the flash flooding probabilities. It will also
slightly increase southwesterly winds Thursday and Friday, but the
magnitude of these winds currently look to remain below 30 mph.
