...BREEZY TO THE WEST AND MOISTURE TO THE EAST...
.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...An area of low pressure across the Great
Basin will help develop showers and thunderstorms over the next
several days with the best chances east of I-15. Winds will be
gusty out of the southwest each afternoon across western Utah.
.DISCUSSION...Moisture is returning to the Great Basin with the highest
moisture content across the eastern half of Utah. An area of low
pressure across the northern Great Basin will help to develop
showers and thunderstorms over the next few days across areas of
eastern Utah. Additionally, southwest winds will be enhanced
across western portions of Utah with gusts 30-40 mph possible each
afternoon. These areas will also see pockets of minimum RH in the
teens resulting in locally critical fire weather conditions.
Temperatures will remain near to slightly above seasonal normals.
