Central Wayne County in southern Utah... * Until 545 PM MDT. * At 253 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain within the warned area... specifically the area of Capitol Reef National Park near Fruita, including Lower Spring Canyon, Smokestack Canyon, and Sulphur Creek. The thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall are moving downstream along the Fremont River. Between 0.75 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
