The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Iron County in southern Utah...

* Until 200 AM MDT.

* At 1101 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.75 and 1.25 inches of
  rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           canyons, dry washes, highways, streets and
           underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Zion National Park and Kanarraville, particularly Spring Creek
  Canyon and Kanarra Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Dry
washes, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
