The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  The Cottonwood burn scar in...
  East Central Beaver County in southern Utah...

* Until 700 PM MDT.

* At 550 PM MDT, Peak flows have already occurred in Beaver Canyon,
  but flows will remain high in the Grove area before gradually
  receding over the next hour. We are monitoring additional
  thunderstorms in the area at this time. The debris flow can consist
  of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
           flash flooding in and around the Cottonwood Burn Scar in
           Beaver county.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the
           Cottonwood Burn Scar in Beaver County.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Mainly rural areas of East Central Beaver County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause
extensive and severe flash flooding of creeks...streams...and ditches
in the Cottonwood Burn Scar. Severe debris flows can also be
anticipated across roads. Roads and driveways may be washed away in
places. If you encounter flood waters...climb to safety.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
