177 FZCA72 TJSJ 230315 MWSSJU Marine Weather Statement National Weather Service San Juan PR 1115 PM AST Fri Nov 22 2024 AMZ711-733-735-741-745-231115- Atlantic Waters of Puerto Rico and USVI from 10 NM to 19.5N- Caribbean waters of Puerto Rico from 10 NM to 17N, including the coastal waters of Saint Croix- Coastal Waters of Southern Puerto Rico out 10 NM- Mona Passage Southward to 17N- Coastal Waters of Southwestern Puerto Rico out 10 NM- 1115 PM AST Fri Nov 22 2024 ...SHOWERS AND THUNDERTORMS CONTINUE IN THE MONA CHANNEL AND OUTER ATLANTIC WATERS... National Weather Service Doppler Radar showed showers and thunderstorms over the Mona Channel and the outer Atlantic waters with frequent lightning, gust winds and locally heavy showers limiting visibilities to 1 mile or less. The showers have been diminishing in strength, but are particularly strong just southwest of Cabo Rojo and about 15-20 milles northeast of San Juan. Mariners are urged to avoid these thunderstorms for the next few hours. It is expected that they will dissipate after 3 AM AST. $$ Snell
