This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Puerto Rico.

.DAY ONE...Today

.Lightning...Isolated thunderstorms, particularly across
west Puerto Rico. Stay alert and be prepared to take shelter if
storms develop.

.Excessive Rainfall...Ponding of water in roads and poorly
drained areas, particularly across west Puerto Rico. There is a
low chance of localized urban and small streams flooding.

.Excessive Heat...Limited heat risk across urban areas. This
level of heat affects primarily those individuals extremely
sensitive to heat, especially when outdoors without effective
cooling and/or adequate hydration.

.Rip Currents...Life-threatening rip currents are likely in the
surf zone, particularly across the north facing beaches. These
life- threatening conditions are likely near piers, jetties and
channels.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

The risk of rip currents along the north-facing beaches of Puerto
Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands will continue through Saturday
as a northerly swell spreads across the local waters. As a result,
life- threatening rip currents are likely within the surf zone.
There is a high chance of urban and small stream flooding on
Sunday, as moisture levels are expected to reach their highest
values during the forecast period.
