.DISCUSSION...Mostly fair weather conditions are expected to prevail during the
morning hours across this area. Tmax in the upper 80s to low 90s with gusty
winds around 30 to 35 mph.  Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop across
central and western Puerto Rico, mainly across Mayaguez and vicinity. Although some
activity may reach the Cabo Rojo area, the heaviest showers must remain north of the
spot forecast area. The afternoon showers are expected to dissipate in the evening. Mostly
fair weather Thursday night and Friday.

.TODAY...

Sky/weather.........Sunny (10-20 percent) then becoming partly
                    cloudy (65-75 percent). Isolated thunderstorms
                    early in the afternoon. Scattered showers in
                    the afternoon.
Chance of pcpn......50 percent.
Max temperature.....Around 89.
Min humidity........59 percent.
Wind (20 ft)........East winds 5 to 13 mph shifting to the
                    southeast 12 to 20 mph with gusts to around 33
                    mph late in the morning, then shifting to the
                    east around 8 mph late in the afternoon. Gusty
                    and erratic winds expected near thunderstorms
                    early in the afternoon.
Transport winds.....East 6 to 14 mph increasing to 13 to 21 mph
                    late in the morning, then decreasing to around
                    9 mph late in the afternoon.

Eye level winds.....East winds up to 8 mph shifting to the 7 to 12
                    mph with gusts to around 20 mph late in the
