Hazy conditions due to Saharan dust will continue over the region.
Across southwestern PR, drying of fine fuels will continue due to
the combination of sustained hot temperatures, no precipitation,
and relative drying of afternoon humidity levels of near 60
percent, similar to previous days. Wind speeds are expected to
peak between 18 and 22 mph with gusts in the mid 30s. Because of
these conditions, any accidental fire ignition would have a high
potential to spread rapidly.
