.DISCUSSION...
Slightly wetter conditions are expected today as moisture from an
approaching tropical wave bring some showers into the region. On
the other hand, winds will be stronger, coming out of the east at
15 to 20 mph. Despite high KDBI values across fire-prone areas of
southern Puerto Rico, these factors combined will generally
support a low fire danger threat today, though fire spread remains
possible if an ignition occurs in especially dry areas with
significant amounts of fuels.
