.DISCUSSION...
Due to the approach of major hurricane Erin, external bands will
continue moving across the local islands this weekend, bringing
showers and thunderstorms. Looking at the 24 hour relative
humidity trends, values are expected to remain well above
thresholds, particularly across the southern coastal plains of
Puerto Rico and portions of St. Croix (59 - 62 % and 72 %
respectively. Given the current conditions and today`s forecast,
the fire danger risk will remain low for today.
