.DISCUSSION...
A drier airmass continues to dominate the local weather
conditions, under hazy skies due to a broad Saharan Air Layer
affecting the region. Today, limited shower activity is
anticipated. However, afternoon showers could develop along the
central and western portions of Puerto Rico. With the
aforementioned conditions, RH values could drop to near fire
danger criteria across the southern slopes of Puerto Rico.
Moderate to locally fresh easterly trade winds will prevail
throughout the day. At this time a Fire Danger Statement will not
be issued. However, we will continue to monitor the conditions
throughout the day to see if conditions warrant.
