.DISCUSSION...
Increasing trade winds and drier conditions than previous days are
expected today. Wind speeds along the southern coastal areas are
forecast to range between 18 and 22 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
Also, the relative humidities could drop near 50%, and drying of
fuels will continue today across these areas. However, the KBDI
remains just under critical fire weather thresholds, 544 in
Guanica and 471 in Cabo Rojo. Therefore, there is a low to
moderate risk of fire danger today, particularly across southern
Puerto Rico.
