.DISCUSSION...
Elevated fire weather conditions will affect the fire area through
tomorrow. Currently, at the nearest mesonet site north of
Ballinger, the temperatures is 97, and winds are out of the south
at around 15 MPH, gusting to as high as 25 MPH in the last hour.
RH`s are near 28%, and expected to remain near this value through
7 pm. Tonight, winds will remain in the 10 to 20 MPH range. RH`s
will rise above 40% by around 9 PM, on their way up to a Max RH of
around 83% near sunset Tuesday morning.
Tomorrow will trend slightly warmer and drier, and keep the gusty
south winds. So, we will still have sustained winds approaching 15
MPH combined with gusts in the 25 MPH range, combined with high
temperatures near 100 degrees, and RH values dropping to near
25%.
