.DISCUSSION...

A line of scattered thunderstorms is located as far north as
Haskell, TX this afternoon (as of 1:45 PM CDT). We anticipate this
activity will continue pushing south across the area through this
evening. An outflow boundary along, or to the south of, this activity
will create a sharp wind shift across the fire location as this
activity moves through within the next hour or so. Winds will
generally be northerly behind the boundary with gusty, erratic
winds potentially reaching up to around 40 MPH. Additionally,
cloud to ground lightning is frequently occurring with the main
thunderstorm cells. Additional isolated thunderstorms are likely
to develop south of this boundary as it continues southward
potentially impacting the fire location. Recent rainfall
observations show the heaviest cells producing up to one inch (1")
of rainfall. Some lingering rain showers and thunderstorms are
possible through tonight.
