.DISCUSSION...
Due to the continued heat, and lack of precipitation leading to
curing vegetation, fire weather conditions will remain elevated
through at least this weekend. Precipitation chances do re-enter
the forecast from Sunday afternoon into early next week. If there
is significant coverage of wetting rainfall, our fire weather
concerns will subside. The downside of these precipitation
chances will be cloud to ground lightning strikes that could
result in new fire starts. Otherwise, minimum RH values will
average between 25% and 40%, and 20 foot wind speeds will
continue to be out of the south to southeast at 5 to 10 MPH, with
a few gusts to around 15 MPH at times.
