.DISCUSSION...
Elevated fire weather concerns will continue through the next
several days. A low to medium chance (20-40%) for showers and
thunderstorms is forecast this afternoon, mainly across the area
south of a Sonora to Brownwood line. These storms will produce
only spotty areas of significant rainfall and a higher risk of
lightning induced additional wildfires. Light southerly winds can
be expected today, with some occasional wind gusts up to 15 MPH
at times. Higher gusts are possible near any of the storms that
develop. Otherwise, afternoon humidity values will continue
sitting in the 30 to 40% range into next week.
