...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Southeastern San Saba County in west central Texas...

* WHEN...Until 445 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 242 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain of up to 2
    inches in some locations due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Chappel, Bend and Us-190 Near The San Saba-Lampasas County Line.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
