...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas...

  Concho River At Paint Rock affecting Concho County.

For the Concho River...including San Angelo, Paint Rock...Moderate
flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Concho River at Paint Rock.

* WHEN...Until late tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 29.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding will occur. A
  few structures near the banks of the river in Paint Rock will be
  threatened. Low water crossings and secondary roads will be
  flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 27.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 24.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 AM CDT Friday was 27.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 29.9
    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late
    this afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    28.3 feet on 09/09/1980.
