The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Callahan County in west central Texas...
  Southeastern Taylor County in west central Texas...

* Until 400 AM CDT.

* At 157 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 3 inches of rain have
  fallen tonight. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Abilene, Clyde, Baird, Cross Plains, Tuscola, Buffalo Gap, Lawn,
  Putnam, Eula, Rowden, Dudley, Oplin, Potosi, Atwell, Bradshaw,
  Admiral, Us-283 Near The Coleman-Callahan County Line, I-20 Near
  The Callahan-Eastland County Line and Ovalo.

This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 294 and 323.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
I-20 Frontage Roads west of Clyde, I-20 Frontage Roads near Baird,
I-20 Frontage Roads near Putnam, crossings along County Road 249,
crossings along County Road 248, crossings along County Road 129,
County Road 279 crossing Kaiser Creek, crossings along Fire Road
161, crossings along County Road 134 and crossings along County Road
205.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
