(Today and tonight) Issued at 115 AM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025 With the overall setup of an upper level high gradually becoming recentered westward over Texas today and tonight, our weather will be quiet for the most part. Our southern counties, mainly in parts of Northern Edwards Plateau, will have a possibility for a few isolated showers or a thunderstorm today. This is where some deeper moisture remains. Otherwise, skies will be partly cloudy over our area today, and afternoon highs will be in the mid to upper 80s. Expect winds from the northeast to east today at 6-12 mph. With partly cloudy to mostly clear skies tonight, overnight lows will be in the lower to mid 60s with generally light east winds. && .LONG TERM... (Thursday through Tuesday) Issued at 1249 AM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025 the upper level ridge will dominate the pattern during the long term. Expect above normal temperatures and dry weather. The warmest days will be Saturday and Sunday with highs in the upper 80s to mid 90s. Otherwise, highs will be in the 80s to around 90 for the other days. Expect elevated fire weather conditions Saturday across the Big Country due to gusty winds and dry fuels. && .AVIATION...
