Tonight will be the last of the very cold conditions across the
region. Lows will be in the 20s overnight tonight. Cloud cover
will be on the increase overnight as well. Much of the cloud cover
will linger throughout the morning, but will start to clear
tomorrow afternoon. The lingering cloud cover will limit
temperatures across the region to the upper 40s to middle 50s. No
chance for precipitation has been included.

A dry and quiet weather pattern will develop across the region
this weekend into next week, with a significant warmup ensuing.
Temperatures will begin to moderate on Saturday but will still
be below normal for this time of year. Skies will be mostly
cloudy for a good portion of the day but some sun is expected
by afternoon, with highs in the upper 40s to mid 50s.

A significant warmup will then take place Sunday into next week,
with above normal temperatures expected. Upper ridging will
develop over the western states early next week, with northwest
flow aloft prevailing across the southern Plains. A low level
thermal ridge will strengthen across West Texas on Monday,
leading to well above normal temperatures, with afternoon highs
in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Above normal temperatures will
persist through the mid to late week time frame, although a slight
cool down in temperatures is expected on Thursday, behind a weak
frontal boundary moving through Wednesday night. High Tuesday and
Wednesday will be in the 70s, cooling into the upper 60s by
Thursday and then rebounding into the 70s again by Friday.
Overnight lows will warm from the 30s this weekend, into the
40s by next week.
