(This evening through Wednesday) Issued at 1240 PM CDT Tue Jul 29 2025 High pressure will continue to build across the region leaving hot and dry conditions in place through Wednesday. Overnight lows tonight are expected to range in the mid 60s to mid 70s, with the warmest temperatures expected across the Big Country. Wednesday afternoon high temperatures are expected to range in the mid 90s and up to 103 degrees, with the warmest temperatures expected across the Big Country. Generally light southerly winds will remain in place across the area, with a few areas possibly seeing some infrequent gusts up to 15 mph this afternoon. && .LONG TERM... (Wednesday night through next Tuesday) Issued at 1215 AM CDT Wed Jul 30 2025 Hot conditions continue Thursday with high pressure aloft parked over the region. Highs of 100 to 102 expected again over the Big Country and Concho Valley. However, there is good news, as there is a slight cool down Friday into Saturday. High fall into the lower to mid 90s as the upper ridge temporarily breaks down, allowing isolated showers and thunderstorms. This will be short lived, however, as upper ridging to the west strengthens and builds back over the region Sunday, with highs back to 99 to 102 degrees in the Big Country and Concho Valley. By Monday and Tuesday, temperatures rise up to 103 degrees in the Big Country, with heat indices potentially rising to heat advisory criteria of 105. && .AVIATION...
