...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CENTRAL SABINE PARISH...
SOUTHEASTERN SHELBY...SAN AUGUSTINE AND SABINE COUNTIES THROUGH 800
PM CDT...
At 705 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Shelbyville to 6 miles west of Many.
Movement was south at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Milam, Many, San Augustine, Zwolle, Hemphill, Pineland, Patroon,
Bland Lake, Neuville, Rosevine, Macune, Shelbyville, Huxley, Noble,
Broaddus, Bronson, McElroy, Yellowpine, Chinaquapin, and Hurstown.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
If on or near Toledo Bend Reservoir, get out of the water and move
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to
10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
